Identification
Each container is equiped with a microchip, available in two versions :
- a read-only version, limited to a single encoding of the container's identification data ;
- a version allowing multiple read/write operations.This version allows to save, retrieve and update up to 44 operations for the equiped container.
In this way, each container is identified, not only as a unique entity, but also according to its type. So the microchip takes part in the organisation of the collections (localization, denial of erroneous types...)
If a microchip would be damaged, each container is equiped with a barcode allowing to identify it by manual encoding.
Weighings
Once correctly identified, the container will be emptied and the waste weighed.
To ensure the highest data precision, the operation is decomposed in multiple weighings, distributed among the whole lifting time (up and down). Its only if the different values, collected during a determined time lap,perfectly square together that the weighing can be validated.
If it's not possible to dertermine a correct weight, the collected data are automatically reset to 0 : any error or doubt profits to the customer.
Combined with a selective collection campain, this weighing system has allowed, since its introduction in 1996, to decrease in certain cases the volume of waste collected by 2/3.
Based on the polluter-payer principle, the system imposed itself as an excellent incitement for the consumer to act in a more responsible way while his waste bill was quickly reduced.
Encryption
The system, as any automatic data processing system, is naturally exposed to a malicious or unadapted use of the collected data.
Now, for all people taking part in the project, the protection of private life remains an essential concern.
This is why all data, collected during the identification and weighing process, is protected by an encryption which preserves its confidentiality.
Underground containers
The underground containers are a part of another system, contributing to decrease the volume of litterbags used to collect homewaste.
With a resolutely modern design, the underground containers help to keep the environment clean in the vicinity of the systems. Our containers are available for any type of fraction :
- single, double or triple compartment versions for glass collection ;
- they're available for wastepaper collection, equiped with an adapted and practical opening system. Their dimensions are also adapted to prevent boxes of undesirable sizes to be put down ;
- homewaste collection models are equiped with a rocking filling hatch, and available in several capacities.
Other versions were also developped, for used clothes collection, for industrial or organic waste, etc...
Also equiped with chips, the containers send a signal when their capacity is about to be reached, giving the opportunity to organize the collection at the most suitable moment and to insure a continuous availibility of the containers.
